Web Developer

Applied Data Consultants, Inc. (ADC), a firm specializing in web development and GIS, is currently seeking an experienced JavaScript/UI developer to join our Web Development team. We are looking for an individual who is resourceful, pragmatic, creative, and has the ability to multi-task and self manage effectively. The ideal candidate must have the knowledge of the web development stack from server-side to JavaScript, understand the principles of website performance optimization, and turn out pages that are cross-browser compatible.

Requirements:
Experience with JavaScript libraries such as APIs, jQuery, ExtJS and Prototype, have strong front-end experience implementing JavaScript/AJAX web applications using current web standards, and a healthy respect for the user experience, browser compatibility and page performance. Intimately familiar with HTML and CSS hacks for cross-browser compatibility, knowledge of JSON and XML data formats. Experience with at least one of the following server-side languages: PHP, Ruby, Python or Java. Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.

Recommended skills or experience:
Unix (Linux) based environment, experience with Subversion VCS or equivalent, knowledge of jQuery, ExtJS, GeoExt, Mapfish, OpenLayers, CouchDB, Apache, Goeserver, ArcGIS server, MySQK, PostgreSQL.
